| Tiivistelmä: | A paradigm shift is proposed that focuses on the fit between executive behaviour and personality on one hand and the corporate strategic direction on the other. Two distinct executive behaviours are identified, the visionary and the missionary. Managers according to Kotter behave in an existential way; they treat each day as a separate event, when decision making is prime and moral issues of loyalty are basic. Managers spend a great deal of their time in horizontal communication with peers. Different studies confirm that most of the foreman's work with other people is devoted to close details of work. |
