| Tiivistelmä: | The research focuses on new developments in the philosophy and systems of management control that form an integral part of changes in the economic culture of the company. The developments are related to broader changes in the industry stimulated by economic deregulation and shifts in the competitive nature of international financial markets. Budgeting development and expenses control are examined in the political context of Great Britain from the foundation of Pensco to the present day. It is shown in the article how management at Pensco has responded to economic and political pressures to compete aggressively, develop more entrepreneurially and professionally, and subject itself to the forces of the market. |
