| Tiivistelmä: | Based on the Wood's 'Partnership Model of Corporate Ethics' (2002), this paper examines the ethical structures and processes (henceforth as: s-and-p.) put in place by organizations to enhance the staff's ethical business behaviour. The use of these s-and-p. among the top companies in Australia, Canada, and Sweden is examined during two periods from 2001 to 2002 and from 2005 to 2006. Subsequently, a combined comparative and longitudinal approach is applied in the study. It is uncovered that companies operating in Sweden have utilized ethical s-and-p. differently than their Australian and/or Canadian counterparts. In each culture, the way of companies fashioning their approach to business ethics seems congruent with their national cultural values. Yet, there appears to be a convergence of views within the organizations of each culture: the Swedish companies seem to have been more influenced in 2005-2006 by an Anglo-Saxon business paradigm compared to the past. |
