| Tiivistelmä: | This paper studies the concept of new organizational forms. Despite the concept being widely used, its research usage has hardly been studied. This article aims to fill in this gap: it looks into the underlying assumptions of research usage of the term, and five different assumptions giving evidence to the fragmented use of the concept are discovered. This paper identifies the need for a more productive use of the term new organizational forms, and therefore calls for communication across the boundaries of differing theoretic traditions. |
