| Tiivistelmä: | The paper reports on a study addressing the issue whether male or female characters endure the brunt of the violence in the so-called "slasher" movies. A content analysis of ten selected films reveals that there is no systematic gender bias. Other content attributes of these films are also examined and their implications are discussed. |
