Tiivistelmä:Many traditional brick-and-mortar businesses use e-commerce capabilities on the web to supplement their physical outlets, but only a little empirical research has been made on the underlying dynamics of the "click-and-mortar" business approach. A conceptual framework is developed, in which the four types of synergies obtained by e-commerce with physical infrastructures are highlighted: cost savings, improved differentiation, enhanced trust, and market extension.
