| Tiivistelmä: | In order to spare the shock of new employees which the first job after university can cause, BASF and other German firms offer special two to three month "training on the job" programmes. The advantages and disadvantages of this kind of introduction into the world of the labour are compared to those of direct entrance. The important characteristics of these programmes are identified, and experience from big German corporations are presented. As an illustration of the problem several case studies about young graduates are described. |
