| Tiivistelmä: | With only a little time to go until the millenium and with the Euro set to appear in commercial and paper transactions within a few weeks, the scene appears to be set for a period of considerable confusion and IT expense. Individual companies have ensured all their systems are Year 2000 compliant, but there is no certainty that misbehaving embedded chips will not lead to manufacturing breakdowns of environmental disaster. While many French and German businesses are enthusiastically adopting the Euro, the impact of dual-priced invoices or number of shoppers eager to write Euro cheques remain unknown quantities. This review explores issues surrounding Euro and Year 2000. |
