He is chairman of both the Polytechnics and Colleges Funding Council and the Universities Funding Council and also of the Higher Education Funding Council for England. "Keeping the show on the road" is how he describes his main achievement at the Financial Reporting Council. He is proud of "tackling issues like acquisitions and mergers". |
