Tiivistelmä:Jo O'Neilly, of the charity Charta Mede, reports on an in-depth study which looked at why ethnic minority staff were failing to get into management positions in a national retail organization, despite the company's clear policy on equal opportunities. Two myths exist in many organizations. One reflects the view:"You have to be black, disabled and pregnant to get on nowadays"; the other that: "We are only taken on as tokens, and now that "their" statistics look good we are just dumped". Which is true?
