| Tiivistelmä: | After giving a literature review on the problem of planning- instability in the field of production planning and control we introduce normalized planning-stability measures to describe different aspects of planning stability. Using this measures we analyze the structural stability characteristics of common inventory control-rules facing stochastic demand by operating in a rolling horizon environment. For special cases this analysis is done using analytical methods whereas for more general szenarios simulation results are presented. Finally, some simple modifications of the analyzed inventory-control rules are proposed which can be used to dampen nervousness considerably. |
