| Tiivistelmä: | In this study the present business network is in focus for understanding and describing the internationalisation process of SMEs. The theoretical framework is based on the network approach as well as on earlier corresponding studies. Empirical findings from a small survey conducted show that the initial export markets are those situated in countries nearby but that these also tend to remain important export markets. The firms were also substantially affected by international competition. |
