| Tiivistelmä: | Recently at the Building Forum of the Baltic Rim countries in Tallinn, Markku Vesa of Finland, now CEO of Eurodevo OY, proposed an update of his building volumes prognosis made five years ago. The forecast for the growth of the GDPs, the base of Markku Vesa's prognosis of the building industry has been displayed in Figure 1. The high economic growth of Estonia in 1997 promises unmistakeable signs of overheating. As for the economy of Latvia and Lithuania, Mr. Vesa anticipates that they would repeat, at a small temporal lag, the growth phase of the Estonian economy. |
