Tiivistelmä:The Finnish university sector is undergoing major changes to increase capacity and add value in society, resulting in a more prevalent role for entrepreneurship (here as: e-ship.) programmes. There are four different approaches presented for organizing e-ship. programmes in business and non-business schools: e-ship. i. as a research field, ii. as an integrated and synthetic subject and iii. as an add-on subject, and iv. embedded e-ship. studies in non-business disciplines. It is argued that developing an e-ship. programme at university level may necessitate a complete restructuring of the whole university, that is, the organizational structures, the processes, the assessment methods, the direction and the resource allocation mechanisms. This change calls for the creation of an entrepreneurial university. The article provides some ideas about the aspects of organizing e-ship. programmes in the change process faced by all Finnish universities.
