Tiivistelmä:It is demonstrated how a visual, interactive, dynamic multiple objective linear programming decision support system, i.e. the visual interactive goal programming, can effectively be used for analyzing input-output models. The system has been applied successfully to emergency situations, including measuring the impact of an energy crisis, a crop failure, and a trade embargo on high technology products. A 17-sector multiple objective linear programming version of an input-output model is used. The system has been implemented on a microcomputer. Several typical case situations are discussed.
