| Tiivistelmä: | This article deals with Russia's relationship with Europe and the European Union (EU) under the leadership of Russian President Vladimir Putin from 2000 to 2008. It is indicated that Putin failed to meet his goals of establishing a new type of relationship with the EU. It is stated that Russia is both a developing country and a developed country, presenting challenges for its EU relations. |
