| Tiivistelmä: | This paper suggests that the study of attempts to secure headquarters (HQ) level change may now be of increasing significance. Evidence of a wave of HQ level change is beginning to accumulate and requires further investigation. Its primary purpose is not to develop criteria to guide managers about the proper size and role of HQ. The field now urgently requires a broader and more critical base, which the authors hope to develop in what is intended as a wide ranging "overview" paper. |
