| Tiivistelmä: | Beginning from 1997 the Shanghai Pudong new area will take the lead in opening Renminbi business in foreign-funded banks, which indicates marked progress in the internationalisation of finance with Chinese characteristics This pioneering practice will play a positive and significant role in better utilising world capital market, enlarging indirect funding scale, promoting direct foreign investment in China, optimising the structure of products of hi-and-new technology, enhancing the international competitiveness of the banks of our country, building up domestic financial market, improving techniques of macro-regulation, speeding up the construction of international centre of finance and accelerating the internationalisation of RMB, but the risk involved is not to be treated lightly. |
