| Tiivistelmä: | The authors concentrate on the digital divide among SMEs and analyze the possible factors affecting the broadband adoption among these firms. A two-step procedure is used in the investigation; relevant variables and interactions are explored with the help of a three-based technique and then their influence on broadband diffusion is tested through a binomial logistic regression. The results indicate that companys relative size among SMEs is relevant and the geographical location can be a further obstacle for the smaller companies of the sample. Finally, the companys ICT strategies more precisely the outsourcing decisions of the company seem to be an extenuating factor for the broadband disadvantages. |
