Tiivistelmä:This article deals with how people in the European schools' environment (here as: E-s-e.) understand entrepreneurship, by using the metaphors employed by them to describe entrepreneurs. It is found that across the E-s-e., the entrepreneur (here as: entpr.) is a conflicted social archetype, simultaneously perceived as an aggressor and a winner, a victim and an outsider. There is found most transnational homogeneity existing in relation to the perception of the entpr. as a predatory aggressor, while positive constructions of the entpr. were more likely to be diverse btw. the six studied countries: Cyprus, Eire, Greece, Italy, Poland and the United Kingdom (U.K.). The social constructions within E-s-e. must be taken seriously if enterprise education is to be effective.
