| Tiivistelmä: | A theory of the effects that computer-assisted communication and decision-aiding technologies have on organizational design, intelligence and decision making is set forth. Several components of the theory are controversial and need of critical empirical investigation. Subsequently, the propositions are connected with constructs and concepts in order to develop a more conceptual theory. Global recommendations focus on those technology-prompted changes in organizational design that affect the quality and timeliness of decision making, and they are contrasted with those that affect the production of goods and services. |
