| Tiivistelmä: | The authors document the basic features of a database that has been constructed for use in an applied GEM. The model is designed to evaluate policies of the EC, including membership. In addition to the databases of the members, it includes three trading partners: the US, Japan and the Rest. Starting from the base year 1975, a multi-year database is developed, and a generic GEM is calibrated with its help. Finally the accession of the UK to the EC is studied. |
