| Tiivistelmä: | Hoffmann and Homburg (1990) tried to give a theoretical explanation of the behavior of the DM/S-exchange rate over the eighties. While the appreciation can be explained by standard transfer theory, the depreciation needs a refined transfer approach. Menkhoff (1991) rejected this explanation. In their reply Hoffmann and Homburg discuss the issues. Further, they argue that the recent developments gave new confirmation to their method. |
