| Tiivistelmä: | The author suggests a new forecasting model of GNP growth based on the structure of interest rates (difference between short and long term rates). The model is more accurate in its forecasting German GNP growth than the models of DIW and the five large German research institutes. Its performance is the best in periods of structural change such as German unification. |
