| Tiivistelmä: | The subjects of this paper are aged employment and labor supply. The authors of this paper present a study on the decisions made by companies whether to dismiss or retain older employees to address labor shortage. They pay great attention to the impact of demographic changes on the attitudes of management practitioners toward older workers and consider the details of the study and findings. The authors also provide some conclusions and implications. The authors state that facing the shortfall of young workers to cover impending retirements, firms will have to work magic to attract and keep veteran employees. The paper provides a substantial list of references on this subject. |
