| Tiivistelmä: | In an industrial enterprise logistics comprises the planning of needs, output, time and space, as well as the planning implementation and steering of a flow of materials at a minimum cost. A modern and efficient logistics department will perform these functions for the firm as a whole and not for individual departments: procurement, technology and distribution will be planned and steered on a corporate basis, the objectives being to lower inventories, to reduce spare capacity to a minimum and to provide the customer with an optimal delivery service. |
