| Tiivistelmä: | This article examines the problems of embedding new management knowledge in project-based organizations. The micro-processes of change in practices are analysed using a case study of construction industry in the UK. It is found that the embedding-process is affected by a complex interplay btw. structural conditions within the organization and existing project management practices. Specially the features such as decentralization, the short-term emphasis on project performance, and distributed work practices play a significant role in the process. |
