Tiivistelmä:A company, American Steel and Wire Company (AS and W) is examined whose strategic management of human resources was not the result of a decline in its fortunes, but was an integral part of its strategy to ensure its future success in the highly competitive, quality-oriented steel industry. The philosophy of the corporation is based on the premise that if you treat employees with respect and as equals, the work ethic improves dramatically. This attitude is carried out in both communication and actions. The concept of employee involvement is used in the belief that employees have the right to have input into any decision that affects their work lives.
