| Tiivistelmä: | Preliminary work in examining personality using the Kirton Adaptation-Innovation theory is described. In the course of work, interesting patterns were detected in the subfactors of which the theory inventory is composed. This led to the idea of characterizing researchers according to one of four types, as determined by the sub-factors of the theory. Characteristics of the four types are described according to their level of creative performance and skills performance and also their characterization may hold useful insights regarding the deployment of research scientists. |
