| Tiivistelmä: | Conditions for the survival of UK industry are outlined. The solution to the long-standing economic problems demands that technology and its proper management be placed at the very top of top managements' agendas. The most pressing task is to bridge the communication gap between top managements and technologists. This implies reeducation both of the firm's R and D personnel and of the non-R and D functions which commission R and D and use its results. The most important current task is developing the management capabilities of scientists and technologists. |
