Tiivistelmä: | In grocery retailing Kwik Save company succeeded in breaking down the prices competitors were offering and US-style formula was confirmed. A suitable SWOT (strength, weaknesses, opportunities and theats) analysis was used in strategic planning. The strength of Kwik Save was its customer base and the low-cost systems surrounding its centralised distribution. The Coleman Meat Company joined the group. Coleman's is one of the fastest-growing parts of the group. The biggest development is a joint venture with Iceland Frozen Food. A gradual expansion of the range of merchandise will take place once laser scanners are introduced at more stores. |
