| Tiivistelmä: | Will there be a "library" in the future? For centuries workers were defined by their containing organization, i.e. as people who work in library. Increasingly they are re-labelling themselves information managers. The escape from the confines of an organization which this represents and symbolizes is, the author contends, the most significant current development in library organization and it offers a stimulating pointer to the future. Teleworking is part of this movement, whose potential and implications have yet to be fully explored. |
