| Tiivistelmä: | To improve our grasp of work-world possibilities 10 to 25 years hence is to appreciate more fully its probable disjuncture from all that is now familiar. In other words, the future of work will most likely differ far more than resemble the scene we know at present. Five aspects of tomorrow's work world warrant special attention: 1. the puzzle of the current jobs slowdown and its prospects; 2. the related question of policy response options; 3. the nature of post-2000 jobs; 4. tomorrow's role of today's labour unions; 5. the evolving relationship between humans and machines. |
