| Tiivistelmä: | Monetary union within the European Union , and the replacement of the different national currencies with the European currency unit (Ecu) as a single currency , will not only have constitutional implications for the Member States, it will also raise various private law issues relevant to the law of contract. Of particular importance is whether or not the Ecu will, in law, succeed the different national currencies as the currency of a private law contract. |
