| Tiivistelmä: | The report of the OECD Trade Committee to the 1995 meeting of the Council at Ministerial Level expressed the view that the ultimate goal of future multilateral trade negotiations is a "free and open rules based system for carrying out economic activities in the wold economy" that would ensure "the openness of national markets to global competition". This paper examines a number of issues related to the application of a competition-oriented approach to future multilateral trade negotiations. |
