| Tiivistelmä: | This report assesses the market for life insurance, which has developed into the single most important form of saving for the majority of the UK population. Covered products include term insurance, whole-life insurance, endowment insurance, with- and without-profits policies, unit-linked insurance and bonds. The report is segmented between non-linked and linked life, and non-pensions-related annuities, and subsequently between annual or regular premium, and single premium or lump-sum policies. Life insurance and pensions have become the single most important form of saving for the majority of the population in the UK, especially the legion of small savers. |
