Dried herbs is the largest sector and has been fairly static for the past four years. likewise sales of pepper have been static, while sales of curry powders are in decline. There is as yet very small market for frozen herbs. The market for fresh herbs is showing healthy growth. Imports dominate the market and it is possible that overseas suppliers will increase their prices. Consumers'usage of herbs and spices is a matter of lifestyle. They are tending to use less. Convenience cooking sauces obviate the need to use separate herbs and spices. |
