| Tiivistelmä: | The case of Nauru is exceptional in many respects: an island country soon to lose its principal economic rationale, with a need to develop a strategy to sustain a small community through what may be a difficult social and economic period. It is likely that any serious implementation of a tourism strategy would need to be deferred until a substantial proportion of the rehabilition has been completed. For Nauru the tourism options are limited, and in any case the level of international visitation is scarcely likely to be supportive of the national economy on its own. |
