| Tiivistelmä: | Global demands for tertiary education have been met by a variety of new intellectual entrepreneurs including virtual Megauniversities, corporate universities, and academic "brokers". The coupling of this evolution with the emerging shift to third party evaluation of graduates based on competency, internationally, breaks the hegemony of the traditional post secondary educational institutions. The inter connectivity of the wired world must be seen not only as a link across space, but, more importantly, as a time bridge across generations. |
