Tiivistelmä:There is a considerable need for reflection about the future and future activities, even in smaller scale companies and organizations. However, the managers of the small firms do not apply very frequently strategic planning techniques that help to work out the firm's own competitive strategy to be followed. Such a process starts with the analysis of external conditions and the firm's competitive position of the market, includes the evaluation of different producers' market value and is terminated by the elaboration of a strategy called "product-market competitive".
