| Tiivistelmä: | Proper management of R&D provides a company as for a country, a major advantage that cannot be overestimated. A detailed analysis of the factors determining technological performance is conducted. This analysis includes among others the differences between corporations and small companies in the matters of innovation, the implications of short-range instead of long-range planning, the significance of product brands, the appearance of the global market of technologies etc. These factors are explored in relationship to the present or future situation of a company or sector or country. Moreover, the developments in R&D and their implications for companies are examined. |
