| Tiivistelmä: | The stage-gate system is both a conceptual and an operational model for moving a new product from idea to launch. It is a blueprint for managing the new product process to improve effectiveness. The most important activities in which the differences between successes and failures were the greatest, were the early activities in the new product process. Established criteria ensure that all projects are evaluated consistently and fairly. Stage-gate systems provide an overview of the entire new product process for senior managers giving structure and a vocabulary for better management and control. |
