| Tiivistelmä: | The study investigates a relation between technology, talk and sociability. The study concentrates on a form of a chat network known as interkom. It is an analog communications network found in various towns and cities in Indonesia. The goal is to find out how intercom functions as a discourse network. The survey is based on interviews. The findings reveal that intercom connects the line between an indefinite community of strangers and a known audience. Interkom makes possible to voice-to-voice communication also with strangers. |
