| Tiivistelmä: | Despite variable parameters, it is possible to improve productivity in a goods distribution centre. By proceeding carefully and including all the participants in the various events, efficiency can be increased permanently. Four steps of a productivity improvement program are briefly reviewed: 1. a clear definition of methods and procedures; 2. employment of a time management system; 3. employees' education and training; 4. a system of performance appraisal and motivation. |
