| Tiivistelmä: | The aim of the study presented in this article was to explore the variation of individual forecasting abilities of analysts in earning forecasting.The author picked up 191 analysts and 10586 earnings forecasts made for 428 firms in the period 1975 through 1981.While analysing these forecasts the author noticed that there were not significant differences between individual analysts.The rank order of analysts depends more on the other services they do for clients, such as buy/sell recommendations, than earnings forecasts. |
