| Tiivistelmä: | Despite the high indebtedness of private households and companies in the USA the expansionary monetary policy will lead to a revival of the propensity to consume as well as to invest. For the time being, the conjuctural impulses for incomes will be but moderate, since employment will be increased only gradually at first. Exports are going to expand markedly, although at a lower pace than up to now, since the stimulating effects of the dollar depreciation on price competitiveness gradually will abate. All in all, business activity will be enforced. However, the expansionary momentum will be relatively moderate: the real GDP in the USA will rise by about 1.5 to 2 p.c. in 1992. |
