| Tiivistelmä: | In 1994, China's export volume of shoes reached USD 5.71 billion, accounting for 44% of the world total. There are now more than 10000 shoe factories with over 1000000 staff and workers in China. As there exist such problems as extreme chaos in export order, less renovation in developing products, more middle or low-grade shoes, poor quality which need to be improved and soaring prices of raw materials, some measures should be taken. First, the competition by lowering prices should be prohibited firmly and second, the exchanges and cooperation with Hong Kong and Taiwan strengthened, and the supporting work should keep up with the development of shoe-making as well. |
