| Tiivistelmä: | From January to June foreign trade exports totaled 64.06 billion, 8.2 percent down from the same period of last year, while the balance of foreign trade amounted to USD 880 million. What characterizes the decline of export is: 1. the drastic decline of common trade which dropped 28.5 percent from the same period of last year, while processing trade maintained a growth rate of 14.6 percent, hence a striking contrast; 2. the tremendous decrease of export of state owned foreign trade enterprises, nearly 30 percent down from the same period of 1995, while export of foreign- invested enterprises increased by a big margin to reach 38 percent; 3. export of such traditional commodities as textiles and clothing plummeting, chalking up only 14.89 billion in the six months. |
