| Tiivistelmä: | It is analyzed the link between innovativeness and an integrated measure of export performance of companies in the German mechanical engineering industry. Canonical correlation analysis is used to determine the strength and direction in the relationship between two export performance measures, namely export intensity and export growth, and nine indicators of innovativeness. The findings provide support for a comparable British study and demonstrate an association between both groups of variables. Moreover, the results indicate important differences in the relationship between particular independent variables and export intensity and export growth respectively. |
