| Tiivistelmä: | Although developed economies have specialized in the development of services, their international trade remains centered around industrial activities. Here it is shown that service activities, particularly those having a large technological content, would prove a major advantage for countries like France in meeting the challenges of increasing competition on international markets. The principal strategies available to companies trying to export their technologies are analyzed, and joint ventures, whether domestic, institutional or symbiotic, are advocated. It is concluded that the transfer of technology will be the basis of international transactions from now on. |
